Minneapolis seeking civic-minded residents to serve on City boards & commissions

The City of Minneapolis is looking for people to join boards and commissions. Applications are open now through March 31 for several of the groups looking for diverse backgrounds, perspectives and opinions.

Minneapolis has more than 50 volunteer-based boards, commissions and advisory committees. To apply, go to the City Clerk's page at How to Apply to a Board or Commission.

Here are the organizations that are looking for applicants and the number of openings:

  • 1 - Audit Committee
  • 9 - Bicycle Advisory Committee
  • 1 - Community Commission on Police Oversight
  • 10 - Homegrown Minneapolis Food Council
  • 9 - Minneapolis Advisory Committee on Aging
  • 12 - Minneapolis Advisory Committee on Housing
  • 7 - Minneapolis Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities
  • 17 - Minneapolis Arts Commission
  • 6 - Minneapolis Workforce Development Board
  • 10 - Pedestrian Advisory Committee
  • 9 - Public Health Advisory Committee
  • 4 - Safe and Thriving Communities Work Group
  • 1 - Workplace Advisory Committee
