Bettendorf Public Library Invites Readers to Participate in Annual Winter Reading Program
December 17, 2025 - Dance through a world of stories and fun events by attending a Reading Rave! That's the theme of the Bettendorf Public Library's 2026 Winter Reading Program.
PICK YOUR "PLAYLIST"
From January 5 to January 31, book lovers of all ages are invited to come groove with the Library through reading challenges and special events for all ages:
READING CHALLENGES
The Library's Winter Reading Program is free and open to everyone. A Bettendorf Public Library card is not needed to participate. Early online registration begins Monday, December 29, 2025, on the Library's website. In-person registration will be available at the Library starting Monday, January 5, 2026. Readers can track their progress online or with physical logs available at the Library for pick up.
The 2026 Winter Reading Program is funded by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.

READING CHALLENGES

Children's Read-To-Me Challenge: Read or Listen to 25 Books
This challenge is for children who mostly listen to stories or read short stories. Children will receive a free book as a finishing prize. -
Children's Reader Challenge: Read 300 Minutes
This challenge is for children who are reading mostly independently. As always, parents can decide what is appropriate for their children and what they want to count as reading. Children will receive a free book as a finishing prize. -
Teen (Ages 12-18) Challenge: Read 700 Minutes
Teens will receive a free book as a finishing prize, as well as a raffle entry for a Fun Station or In This Issue Comics gift card. -
Adult Challenge: Complete Three Activities
Adults will receive a free book as a finishing prize, as well as a disco ball keychain and a raffle entry for one of 10 Amazon gift cards.
