Announcing the Fall Arts Walk Cover Piece, "These Waters Heal" by Mikaela Shafer

Every Arts Walk, a new piece is commissioned to serve as the cover art for the event. This fall features These Waters Heal by Mikaela Shafer, a new painting from her ever-evolving series of abstract landscapes, Matrilineal Memory - each work an embodiment of memory.

"I am a member of the Hopi tribe, a matrilineal-led culture. Stories are passed down through women. While my work is not 'traditional' art, it is very much rooted in my indigenous identity." Watch the full in-studio interview on artwalkoly.com
