Public Notice: Rose Street Storm Sewer Installation with Westbound Lane Closure

LAKELAND, FL (September 29, 2026) | Beginning Monday, October 12, City of Lakeland crews will begin installing a new storm sewer system along the south side of Rose Street between Ingraham Avenue and South Lake Avenue.

During construction, the westbound lane of Rose Street will be closed to traffic between Ingraham Avenue and South Lake Avenue. A detour will be in place to help motorists navigate around the work zone.

Motorists and pedestrians should expect delays in the area and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Those traveling through the area should use caution and follow all posted traffic control signs and detour directions.

The project is expected to take approximately three months to complete, weather and construction conditions permitting.

The City of Lakeland appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as crews complete these necessary stormwater improvements.
