The City of Novato has officially launched Novato Permits, a new online permit portal powered by MaintStar and designed with residents, contractors, and businesses in mind. Novato Permits streamlines permitting, planning, engineering, and code enforcement services by combining applications, records, inspections, payments, and compliance into a single, easy-to-use platform.

The online portal is now available at novato.org/permits. Create an account today to start managing your projects and services more efficiently. The system will guide you step-by-step, clearly outlining all required documents and plans for a smooth application process.
Permit applications submitted prior to September 25 have been migrated into the new system, and applicants can register through the portal to view the status of their projects.
