The 49th State Scholar's lecture, 'Why Aging Policy Needs Your Voice', will be held on March 20. The presenter will be Dr. Britteny M. Howell.
With the fastest growing proportion of older adults in the country, this session examines the urgent need for informed aging policy solutions in Alaska. The lecture will explore major challenges facing older Alaskans while highlighting the role faculty and students can play through research, civic engagement and community partnerships. This session makes the case that active university leadership in aging policy is essential to advancing intergenerational equity and ensuring a healthier, more resilient future for Alaska.
