New online Parks & Trails Directory makes exploring the outdoors in McKinney even easier

The City of McKinney Parks and Recreation Department is proud to unveil a new tool to help residents and visitors make the most of the city's outdoor spaces. The new Parks & Trails Directory is an interactive, mobile-friendly guide to more than 50 parks and 80+ miles of scenic trails.

Whether residents are planning a family picnic, looking for their next walking route, or searching for a shaded playground or dog-friendly trail, the directory makes it fast and easy to find exactly what they need.

"McKinney is known for its commitment to quality of life, and our parks and trails are a big part of what makes this community special," said Amy Kinkade, Parks and Recreation Director. "This directory was created with residents in mind to help them spend less time searching and more time enjoying the outdoors."

Key features of the directory include an interactive map with filters for restrooms, playgrounds, trails, and athletic fields, as well as detailed park descriptions and high-quality photos to help residents plan ahead.
