Iress renews Striver partnership to support advice talent pipeline

Iress today announced the renewal of its partnership with leading financial services career pathway provider, Striver, for a further year, reinforcing a shared commitment to attracting, developing and retaining the next generation of financial advisers.

As demand for financial advice continues to grow in Australia, the extended partnership will build on the strong foundations established in 2024, with a continued focus on expanding awareness of careers in advice and equipping new entrants with practical, job-ready skills.

Iress' Acting CEO - Wealth APAC, Sam Wall, said: "Demand for quality financial advice continues to outpace supply, and the industry must think differently about how we attract and prepare new talent. At Iress, we're focused on investing in the future of the advice profession by supporting programs that grow the next generation of advisers. Renewing our partnership with Striver allows us to build on the momentum we've created, combining education, technology and real-world exposure to help more people see a clear and compelling pathway into advice.

"By revitalising our Xplan training modules and supporting initiatives like Striver's Brimstone event series, we're not only showcasing what a career in advice looks like, but also giving future advisers the tools and confidence to succeed from day one."

Striver Founder and CEO, Alisdair Barr, said: "Our partnership with Iress continues to play an important role in shaping the future of the advice profession. Over the past year, we've seen strong engagement from students, graduates and career changers who are looking for meaningful, long-term careers.

"As adviser numbers decline and demand for advice increases, it's more important than ever to provide clear, accessible pathways into the industry. With Iress' support, we're helping to bridge that gap, connecting talent with opportunity and ensuring the next generation of advisers is equipped to thrive."

Iress will again play a key partner and presenter role in Striver's 2026 Brimstone event series, with events scheduled across the country to connect students, graduates and career changers with industry leaders and employers.

The partnership will also see Iress revitalise its Xplan training modules for Striver's Mentor Education Unit, enhancing the learning experience with updated, real-world scenarios and deeper exposure to the tools and workflows advisers use every day. The modules are designed to give participants hands-on experience and a practical understanding of how technology enables efficient, compliant and client-centric advice delivery.

Iress is also a sponsor of the FAAA Advice Academy, which focuses on building a sustainable pipeline of new advice talent and supporting Professional Year candidates.
