BRADFORD, PA / OLEAN, NY - Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 November Star Awards. This month's BRMC and OGH recipients were Danielle Wilcox and Alyssa Richardson, RN, respectively.
Danielle Wilcox, a patient service representative in the Bradford primary care office, joined BRMC in 2024 and was recognized as the November Star Award recipient.
"Danielle is an exceptional employee whose kindness, professionalism and dedication shine through in everything she does. She is always the first to step in, whether to solve a problem, offer comfort or provide support to patients and coworkers alike. Danielle's calm demeanor helps keep the office running smoothly, even during the busiest and most stressful days. She continuously goes above and beyond for our patients," read her nomination. "She played an instrumental role during the recent practice move by spending countless hours organizing and cleaning the clinic to ensure a smooth transition. A steady and reassuring presence, Danielle has been a blessing to both patients and staff, serving as a pillar of strength through many changes. She continuously lifts spirits with her positivity, and handles every challenge at the front desk with grace and professionalism. Danielle truly embodies what it means to be a team player and a compassionate caregiver."
Alyssa Richardson, RN, was presented the OGH November Star Award. She is a nurse on the med surg unit and has been at OGH since 2020.
"Alyssa is an outstanding registered nurse who consistently goes above and beyond in her patient care. She serves as a preceptor for new graduate nurses, earning excellent feedback for her knowledge and guidance. Alyssa is flexible and dependable, willingly working all shifts and covering for peers whenever needed. She is actively engaged and contributes great ideas to improve the unit and patient experience," said her nomination. "Patients also recognize her hard work, with one sharing that Alyssa was exceptionally informative and helpful, ensuring they understood and could access all available resources. We're lucky to have a nurse like Alyssa!"
The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others. Staff members are nominated for exceptional customer satisfaction, continuous performance improvement, teamwork, communication, ownership/accountability and excellence through co-worker or patient nominations.
The following were also nominated for Star Awards at BRMC: Nancy McDonald-Abers, RN, emergency department; Amy McCord, laboratory; and Kaylee Hatch, laboratory. OGH nominees were: Ayren Farrand, RN, ICU; Jan Rohwer, RN, dialysis; Jennifer Taylor-Johnson, RN, ambulatory surgery; and Kristyn Wilber, RN, oncology.
Star award recipients receive a chamber of commerce gift certificate, additional paid time off, a certificate of recognition and the star award parking spot.
