A key area of focus will be transnational tourism routes, including the historic Silk Roads, with UN Tourism supporting coordination across destinations and UNESCO contributing its cultural and heritage expertise. The partnership will also expand education and capacity-building programmes that connect tourism with heritage conservation and the creative industries.
UNESCO also signaled its readiness to mobilize its extensive global network - including World Heritage sites, Creative Cities, Biosphere Reserves, Global Geoparks, and elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage - as well as partnerships through UNESCO Chairs and Goodwill Ambassadors.
