Natural Gas futures traded higher to end the month, surging over 11% to reach the 4'335 level. The March contract hit a seven month high as a lingering cold snap across the Midwest and East Coast drove short-term demand and record low temperatures. Traders noted that power outages and freezing rain in the South have further pressured energy supplies, leading to a return of LNG imports. WTI Crude Oil futures remained unchanged on the day but finished the week up 7%, trading near a four month high of 65'50. Both Natural Gas and WTI Crude Oil futures continue to hold near the top of their recent trading ranges amid increased seasonal demand for energy products.
