Richard B. Levin, the Chair of Taft's FinTech Practice will be a speaker on a panel discussion titled "Tokenisation, DLT, and the Digitisation of Financial Markets" at the WTS Global Shaping Tomorrow's Capital Markets conference on October 9 in Frankfurt, Germany. The session will focus on the current state of efforts to tokenize of assets, including financial instruments, the evolution of regulated settlement, transfer, and collateral mobility via distributed ledger (blockchain) technology, the risks and challenges of market rail modernization, the role of programmable assets and smart contracts, and key barriers to the broader adoption blockchain technology.
