ATLANTA - State Representative Arlene Beckles (D-Norcross) will host a community town hall meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Norcross Community Center.
"This town hall is about transparency, accountability and engagement," said Rep. Beckles. "Your voice, your concerns, your solutions. We look forward to hearing from residents and businesses as we work to grow our future together."
This interactive forum seeks to provide an opportunity for community members to engage directly with local leaders on issues shaping the city of Norcross and the surrounding areas of unincorporated Gwinnett County, which is part of Rep. Beckles' district, District 96.
Rep. Beckles will be joined by State Senators Nabilah Islam-Parkes (D-Duluth) and Sheikh Rahman (D-Lawrenceville), Councilmember Josh Bare, Tax Commissioner Denise Mitchell, Norcross Police Chief Bill Grogan and Norcross Economic Development DirectorDavid Versel.
Topics will include Georgia General Assembly updates and a look ahead at the 2026 legislative session, city updates with a focus on public safety and economic development and a discussion on local taxes.
This event is open to the public, and Gordon Tomlinson, Esq., will moderate the event.
