UPDATE
GREENSBORO, NC (February 17, 2026) - Greensboro Police are continuing to investigate the stabbing of a woman Monday morning on Covey Lane near Vandalia Road.
Witnesses told police that the woman fled from a vehicle, and that a man chased her, caught her, and began stabbing her.
A bystander intervened to stop the assault, resulting in injuries to the man. He was detained until police arrived.
The woman, and the man who attacked her, were both transported to a local hospital for treatment.
She remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Charges are pending against the man who attacked her; His identity is being withheld until he is released from the hospital, arrested, and formally charged. He remains in the hospital in critical condition.
The victim and suspect were in a domestic relationship.
This is an active investigation. Some details, such as possible motive, are not immediately available for release.

Aggravated Assault
GREENSBORO, NC (February 16, 2026) - On 02.16.2026 at 8:15 am-officers responded to the 200 block of Vandalia Road. Officers determined the incident was a stabbing and two victims were transported to a local hospital with injuries.
There is no additional information currently. The investigation is ongoing.
