Defence Minister Ermal Nufi holds talks with Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto in Rome

Albanian Minister of Defence Ermal Nufi met with his Italian counterpart, Guido Crosetto, in Rome for talks centred on advancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of defence and security.

The two ministers explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Albania and Italy, particularly by enhancing interoperability between their Armed Forces and expanding collaboration within the defence industry.

Minister Nufi highlighted Italy's role as a key strategic partner for Albania and a highly valued ally within NATO. He also emphasised the importance of close cooperation between the two countries in responding effectively to common security challenges.

The talks confirmed the shared commitment of Albania and Italy to a safer region and a stronger Europe. Both ministers reiterated their determination to promote stability in the Western Balkans, contribute to international peace and security missions, and further reinforce NATO's role in addressing evolving security challenges.
