National Police Week: Rep. Crank Votes to Back the Blue; Calls out Anti-Police Rhetoric

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, on this National Police Week, Representative Jeff Crank (CO-05) voted in favor of H. Con. Res. 96, Expressing Support for Law Enforcement Officers.

This bill expresses support for law enforcement officers and recognizes the risks and sacrifices they make to keep American communities safe. It also highlights Democrat efforts to defund local police departments and the negative effects of anti-police rhetoric from radical activists and progressive politicians. Finally, this resolution commends the Trump Administration for restoring law and order, which has contributed to the lowest homicide rates in over a century and the lowest overdose deaths since 2019.

"Anti-police rhetoric from the other side of the aisle has put our communities at risk," said Rep. Crank. "We saw the consequences during the Biden-Harris Administration as crime continued to rise across the country. Here in El Paso County, our Sheriff's Deputies and Police Officers work tirelessly to keep the Pikes Peak Region safe, and I will always stand with them and Back the Blue."
