Beijing Ranks First Nationwide in Both AI Model Registration Quantity and Industrial Application Scale

Recently, Beijing completed national registration for a new batch of generative artificial intelligence (AI) service models, bringing its registered large models to over 200, accounting for 30 percent of the country's total. Meanwhile, the city has registered 147 AI product applications, with the combined total of model filings and product registrations accounting for 35 percent of the national aggregate.

As of now, the city's leading large AI models have amassed a registered user base of 1.439 billion, while its key enterprises have cumulatively served over 30,000 institutions nationwide, with daily call frequencies reaching 746 million times. The city continues to rank first nationwide in both the number of model registrations and the scale of industrial application, laying a solid foundation for its development as a benchmark city for digital economy.

Among the registered large models, 164 are text models, and 37 are multimodal models, according to their modality distribution. In terms of development approach, 92 models are independently developed, and 109 are fine-tuned using registered models as a base. By application scenarios, 121 models are general-purpose, and the remaining 80 are industry-specific, primarily covering domains such as government affairs, scientific research, education, culture, tourism, creative sectors, industries, resources, manufacturing, security, e-commerce, and daily services.
