Bat-Wielding Suspect Arrested After Vandalizing Vehicles

SALEM, Ore. -- On July 31, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m., officers arrested Zachary Graham, 25, of Salem, following a report of criminal mischief at Winco Foods located at 1240 Lancaster Drive SE.

Multiple calls were received regarding a male walking through the Winco parking lot, hitting vehicle windows with a bat. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect run into a nearby neighborhood and jump a fence in the 4600 block of Arabian Avenue SE.

Officers located Graham on Raffon Court SE. He was taken into custody without incident and lodged at Marion County Jail on multiple charges of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. Several vehicles were found with cracked and/or shattered windows in the Winco parking lot.
