June 30 - Information for Eligible Voters Impacted by Wildfires

Denver, June 30, 2026 - As multiple wildfires burn across the state, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is providing information for eligible voters who may be impacted by evacuation orders.

"Today is Election Day, and every eligible Coloradan should know about the resources available to them so they can make their voices heard," said Secretary Griswold. "My heart goes out to everyone impacted by ongoing wildfires across the state."

Eligible voters impacted by wildfire evacuations who have not yet cast their ballot can visit any voter center across the state to request and receive a replacement ballot.

Visiting a voter center within their home county will allow eligible voters to vote a ballot with all of their local contests.
Visiting a voter center outside of their home county will allow eligible voters to vote a replacement ballot with only statewide races.
Voters who have access to their mail ballot can return that ballot to any drop box or voter center in the state by 7 p.m. today and it will make it back to their County Clerk for signature verification and tabulation.

Voter center and drop box locations can be found here: https://www.coloradosos.gov/pubs/elections/VIP.html. Voters should enter the address of their current location to find nearby voting options.

Alternatively, voters impacted by wildfire evacuations can request an emergency ballot at https://myballot.coloradosos.gov/app/home.

Impacted voters can also contact their County Clerk with specific questions. Contact information can be found at https://www.coloradosos.gov/pubs/elections/Resources/CountyElectionOffices.html.

Important information for Colorado voters:

Coloradans should always use trusted sources when searching for information on elections. Information from the Colorado Secretary of State's Office is distributed via ColoradoSOS.gov or GoVoteColorado.gov.
Voters can visit GoVoteColorado.gov and select "Contact my County Clerk" to ensure they are only visiting legitimate Colorado Clerk websites.
All Colorado voters can sign up to track their ballot from when it is sent to when it is counted using BallotTrax.
Voters should return their ballot to a drop box or voter center, or they can vote in-person. It is too late to mail a ballot back.
This year, 137 voter centers and 437 drop boxes are available for voters. Voters can look up their locations, opening date, and hours at GoVoteColorado.gov.
If you feel harassed or threatened, you have the right to contact local law enforcement or notify the Colorado Attorney General's Office at (720) 508-6000.
In-person voting on Election Day, Tuesday, June 30, is available until 7 p.m.
