Kilo of drugs seized by police at traffic stop. One woman in custody: C26-227061

In August 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service's Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit (GGDEU), initiated an investigation involving an individual believed to be involved in drug trafficking.

On September 9, 2026, just before 3:00 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a 2010 Mazda 3GT at Fermor Street and Murdock Road, and she was arrested without incident.

A search of the vehicle resulting in police seizing 1.07 kilograms of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $7,000) and approximately $275 in Canadian currency.

A 37-year-old woman is facing charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. She was released on an Undertaking.
