Chairman Scott, Ranking Member Gillibrand to Convene Aging Committee Hearing on the Positive Impact of America’s Seniors on Today’s Economy

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Wednesday, December 10, Senator Rick Scott, chairman of the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, and Ranking Member Kirsten Gillibrand will be convening a hearing entitled "Aging with Purpose: The Positive Impact of Seniors in Today's Economy." The hearing will highlight the vital contributions older Americans make to the U.S. economy through work, caregiving, volunteerism, education, and more as they embrace retirement and begin a new, purpose-driven chapter in their lives. Expert witnesses will discuss how aging Americans are strengthening both local communities and the broader economy and will explore strategies to better support and leverage their skills and experiences.

Witnesses for the hearing will include:

  • Rachel Greszler, Senior Research Fellow, Workforce and Public Finance, The Heritage Foundation, Washington, D.C.
