Participants were briefed on the port and its strategic role as a key logistics hub for the wider region. During the discussions with port management, the growing importance of the port for international trade and connectivity, including with ports in Latin America and the Caribbean, was emphasised.

LAC Days Participants then met with representatives of several coastal companies at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Primorska. They discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation and improve Slovenia's business ties with the Latin American countries present: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru. The delegation was introduced to companies that are already operating successfully or have expressed an interest in cooperating with partners from LAC countries: ENSOL360, Intereuropa, Aktual.IT and Turbo Inštitut. Representatives of the participating Latin American and Caribbean countries gained firsthand insight into Slovenia's innovation, industrial capabilities and export potential, as well as that of its entrepreneurs. The aim of the meeting in Koper was to further strengthen cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Primorska and Latin American and Caribbean countries, building on the Chamber's meetings in Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador in November 2025.

The visit concluded with a tour of the Vinakoper Winery, where participants learned about Slovenia's rich winemaking history, as well as the latest trends and innovative products that complement the country's high-quality wine production. Vinakoper aims to strengthen its presence in LAC markets further with its wines. Participants also learned about Slovenia's olive-growing tradition and had the opportunity to taste olive oil from Slovenian Istria.

The programme was rated as very successful and interesting by LAC guests, as it provided valuable insights into the Slovenian economy and business sector and offered opportunities for direct dialogue and networking to strengthen economic ties.
