Visit of the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Qatar

On May 4, a delegation led by Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Doha, State of Qatar.

Within the framework of the visit, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan met with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

The greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, were conveyed.

During the meeting, regional and international issues, in particular the situation in the Middle East, were given special attention. The importance of dialogue and diplomacy in ensuring stability was emphasized, and the prospects of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar were reviewed.

Also, in Doha, a meeting took place with Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs of the State of Qatar.

In the talks, the relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar, based on friendship and mutual trust, were once again highlighted. Views were exchanged on regional and international developments, in particular the situation in the Middle East, and the importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement in ensuring stability was noted.

In addition, Bakhtiyor Saidov held separate meetings with Natra Abdullah, Founder and Chairman of Artan Holding, and Abdurrahman bin Abdullah Al-Ansari, President of Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company.

During the conversation, the growing role of both companies in the development of industrial and investment cooperation was highly appreciated, and they were invited to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held in June this year in the city of Tashkent.
