Husted statement on Senate vote to prevent tax hikes, bring sanity to federal budget

WASHINGTON - Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) released the following statement after the Senate passed a budget resolution in line with the bicameral plan to get a reconciliation bill to the president's desk and prevent a $4 trillion tax hike on the American people.

"Reckless spending created Pres. Biden's inflation bonfire, and the mounting debt is putting everyone's future at risk. I just voted to keep our promise to prevent tax hikes on America's families, lower their cost of living, secure our borders and bring sanity to the federal budget. The time to bring accountability and responsibility to Washington is now, and we moved the ball way down the field on that today," said Husted.
