UPDATED MEDIA ADVISORY: MoDOT to host media event on April 20 for Work Zone Awareness Week
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Crashes in Missouri work zones resulted in 116 deaths and more than 5,600 injuries between 2021 and 2025. The Missouri Department of Transportation is participating in Work Zone Awareness Week to encourage motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones to save lives, and reduce injuries and crashes on Missouri roadways.
Reporters are encouraged to join MoDOT's Central District and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F at an event on Monday, April 20, to learn more about our shared efforts to combat work zone crashes.
