Cornell Tech appoints new Associate Deans for research and education
Cornell Tech has appointed two longtime faculty leaders to new academic leadership roles, naming Mert Sabuncu as Associate Dean for Research and Huseyin Topaloglu as Associate Dean for Education.
The newly created positions will help advance Cornell Tech's strategic priorities in research, academic innovation, industry engagement, and student success as the campus continues to expand its impact.
"Huseyin and Mert exemplify the extraordinary depth of talent within our faculty. Both have demonstrated excellence in research, a deep commitment to teaching and mentorship, and a willingness to lead and serve the broader Cornell Tech community. Their leadership will strengthen our efforts to advance groundbreaking research, deliver a world-class educational experience, and shape the future of technology for the public good," said Greg Morrisett, the Jack and Rilla Neafsey Dean and Vice Provost of Cornell Tech.
