WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 22, 2026) - As part of the ongoing transformation of Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C., Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) today announced the upcoming debut of Theater Boxes, a new hospitality experience designed to make hosting at live sports and entertainment events feel more personal, effortless, and memorable.
Located within The Halo, a multi-level, next-generation hospitality space slated to debut ahead of the 2027-28 NBA and NHL seasons, Theater Boxes combine dedicated event seating with access to a thoughtfully designed club experience, giving members a comfortable setting to gather over dinner, connect with guests, and experience the energy of the arena together. Available through four- and eight-seat memberships, the concept creates an intimate, right-sized option for client entertainment, executive outings, milestone celebrations, and other meaningful occasions.
The shared club will accommodate up to 96 guests across 24 Theater Boxes, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the attentive service of a hosted experience. Premium finishes, bespoke lighting, and refined décor will give the club the character of an intimate lounge and dining space while keeping guests closely connected to the action.
"Some of the most memorable event experiences begin with a smaller group and the opportunity to spend meaningful time together," said Jim Van Stone, President of Business Operations and Chief Commercial Officer at MSE. "Theater Boxes are designed around that idea, pairing the excitement of Capital One Arena with a more personal and thoughtfully hosted environment. From the first welcome to the final buzzer, every element makes it easier for members to focus on their guests and enjoy the moment."
Each membership includes reserved event-view seating and a dedicated dining table within the club, marked with personalized company signage to create a natural home base for hosting. Guests can move easily between their seats and the club throughout the event, allowing conversations to continue without losing their connection to the action.
The Theater Box experience will also include:
Elevated all-inclusive dining, with a curated menu available at every arena event
Premium beer, wine and craft cocktails, prepared and served by dedicated mixologists
Attentive hospitality, supported by professional service staff and an on-call concierge team
Dedicated event seating, offering sweeping views of the action
Personalized hosting space, with a reserved dining table and dedicated signage for each Theater Box
Access to The Halo, a multi-level hospitality space offering curated dining, service, and retail for select ticketholders
One arena parking pass included with each box
Access to Theater Box reserved seating and amenities for all Capital One Arena events
From welcoming important clients to gathering colleagues or celebrating a marquee occasion, Theater Boxes provide a seamless setting where meaningful conversations and memorable live experiences can unfold naturally.
