TECHNATION 2024 Health Privacy and Security Framework

TECHNATION's sets essential standards for data protection across Canada's healthcare technology 2024 Health Privacy and Security Framework landscape. This updated framework addresses critical areas, including enhanced cybersecurity, data sovereignty, and responsible AI governance to ensure that healthcare organizations and technology vendors can operate securely in an increasingly digital world.

First introduced in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic (read the original framework here), the Privacy and Security Framework was developed in collaboration with TECHNATION members, the Health Board, and privacy and security experts, becoming a widely referenced resource across Canada's health ecosystem.

Aligned with both national and international standards, the 2024 framework supports the adoption of innovative healthcare technologies while upholding patient privacy and meeting regulatory requirements. By promoting robust security practices, TECHNATION continues to build a resilient healthcare infrastructure ready to tackle emerging challenges.
