High-level meetings focus on expanding cooperation, strengthening private sector engagement, and preparations for the Bank's upcoming Annual Meeting and Business Forum
A delegation from the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), led by President, Dr. Serhat Köksal, visited Baku, Azerbaijan, for a country mission aimed at discussing the Bank's strategic priorities and expanding development financing in the country. The delegation also included Ziya Aliyev, Vice President Banking, Asterios Tsoukalas, Secretary General, and Mehmet Tas, Special Advisor to the President.
During the visit, the President and the delegation were received by H.E. Mr. Samir Sharifov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, and Mr. Sahil Babayev, Minister of Finance. Discussions focused on BSTDB's ongoing activities in the country and explored opportunities to further expand the Bank's development financing to support Azerbaijan's private sector and sustainable economic growth.
The delegation also held meetings with representatives of national business associations to strengthen cooperation ahead of BSTDB's upcoming Annual Meeting and Business Forum, which will bring together regional policymakers, financial institutions, and private sector leaders.
