Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Conducts 'Warm Spring Festival Greetings, Celebrating the Chinese New Year' Activities of 2026 for Overseas Chinese in The Bahamas

On the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Horse, the Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas conducted "Warm Spring Festival Greeting, Celebrating the Chinese New Year" activities to extend greetings to overseas Chinese. Ambassador Yan Jiarong held a meeting with representatives of the overseas Chinese community in The Bahamas and visited stores run by Chinese nationals, presenting "Warm Spring Festival Packages" that conveyed the motherland's care and love for its overseas compatriots.

Ambassador Yan extended festive greetings to the overseas Chinese community, thanking them for their support of the motherland's development, promotion of fine traditional Chinese culture, and roles in bridging the friendship between the two peoples of China and The Bahamas. Ambassador Yan introduced clearly the 14th Five-Year Plan and China's modernization progress in 2025, in particular, highlighting the Chinese economy's resilience and pursuit of excellence. Ambassador Yan stressed that, amidst the complex international situation, China resolutely safeguards its own interests and multilateralism, and China-Bahamas relations continue to develop, benefiting the people. Ambassador Yan emphasized that in the new year, the embassy will further implement the concept of "diplomacy for the people" and provide high-quality services to the compatriots in The Bahamas.

The overseas Chinese expressed their gratitude for the warm care from their motherland, felt proud of the motherland's great achievements, and stated that they would work diligently to contribute to deepening China-Bahamas friendship.
