New York, NY (October 7, 2026) - The Durst Organization announced today that Lorient, a healthcare-focused investment firm, signed a lease for 5,556 square feet at 825 Third Avenue, marking the firm's first New York City office. The office is a DurstReady suite, Durst's turnkey offering that comes move-in ready, fully furnished, and wired for immediate occupancy.
"We are grateful Lorient selected 825 Third Avenue for the firm's expansion into New York City, a testament to the major investment Durst made in the building with top-tier amenities, modern workspaces, and an ideal location in Midtown," said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.
Lorient partners with founder-led healthcare companies bringing sector experience and a hands-on operational approach to help scale mission-driven businesses. "Opening our first New York office represents an important next step in Lorient's continued growth," said David Berman, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Lorient. 825 Third Avenue recently underwent a $150 million renovation focused on performance, tenant comfort, modern aesthetics, and sustainability. The tenant-exclusive Well& by Durst amenity floor sets a new standard with a uniquely curated indoor-outdoor experience for gatherings, meetings, and socializing with a 6,000-square-foot wrap-around terrace.
The building has a modern entrance and lobby, complemented by 4,000 square feet of public open space along Third Avenue and East 50th Street with plantings, seating, bike racks, and lighting.
