The Oklahoma Farm to School program has launched a new program called the Farm to School Garden Crew for schools statewide. The program is designed to support and celebrate school gardens across Oklahoma.
The Farm to School Garden Crew will connect schools to seasonal gardening tips, classroom-ready resources and hands-on support to help students learn where their food comes from.
"We believe this new program can help give more Oklahoma kids access to gardening and introduce them to the world of agriculture," said Oklahoma Farm to School Coordinator Alex Cox. "The material in the program is designed for kids of all ages and skill levels to learn about and participate in gardening."
