Outgoing Chair, Commissioner Peggy Choudhry, expressed her gratitude to the Council for the
opportunity to serve as Chair. She looks forward to continuing her service in the
coming year as Immediate Past Chair.
"I'm honored to accept the nomination as Chair," said Commissioner Curry. "The East Central Florida
Regional Planning Council delivers impactful programs that strengthen our region and provide vital
support to our partners. I look forward to continuing close collaboration with my fellow board
members in the year ahead."
The City of Cape Canaveral will be representing Brevard County on the new Executive Committee with
the appointment of City of Cape Canaveral Councilmember Don Willis as one of two Executive
Committee Members At-Large.
While the Executive Committee saw City of Wildwood Commissioner Julian Green, serving most recently
as Immediate Past Chair, step away from his duties on the Executive Committee, he noted he remains
committed to harnessing the unique services, knowledge, and skillsets the Regional Planning
Councils provide to communities such as Wildwood and Sumter County as a whole. He thanked the
council for his time on the Executive Committee.
The 2025/2026 ECFRPC Executive Committee takes effect October 1, 2025, and is as follows;
• Chair - Marion County Commissioner Craig Curry
• Vice-Chair - Volusia County Councilmember Jake Johansson
• Immediate Past Chair - Osceola County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry
• Secretary - City of DeLand Mayor Chris Cloudman
• Treasurer - Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe
• Member At-Large - Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks
• Member At-Large - City of Cape Canaveral Councilmember Don Willis
The staff and Council at the ECFRPC look forward to working with the 25/26 Executive Committee.
