City of Pasadena Encourages Local Businesses to Pursue Procurement Opportunities for Major Upcoming Sporting Events

PASADENA, Calif.-The City of Pasadena Economic Development Division invites local businesses to explore procurement and supplier opportunities connected to several upcoming major sporting events across the Los Angeles region, including the Super Bowl LXI, FIFA World Cup 2026™, and LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

These internationally recognized events offer businesses the chance to grow their operations, establish valuable partnerships, and help deliver world-class experiences. While the City of Pasadena is not directly procuring these events, various partner agencies and organizing bodies are leading the procurement processes. The City of Pasadena encourages eligible businesses to review available programs and register for potential contracting opportunities below:

  • Super Bowl LXI - The National Football League (NFL), in partnership with the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee, is seeking Los Angeles-based businesses to support Super Bowl LXI, scheduled for February 14, 2027. Applications are now open for the Super Bowl LXI Source Program, which connects qualified businesses with subcontracting and procurement opportunities.   • FIFA World Cup 2026™ - The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee, in partnership with FIFA's Local Supplier Program, is selecting LA-based businesses to provide goods and services, including catering, audiovisual, and event production.   • LA28 Supplier Registration - LA28 has committed to investing in a resilient regional economy, with a goal of directing 75% of spending to local businesses and 25% to small businesses through its Community Business Supplier Program. Suppliers interested in potential opportunities must register at La28.SupplierOne.co/. Registration does not guarantee a contract.
  • RAMP - Procurement opportunities for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be posted on the City of Los Angeles' Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP). This centralized online platform serves as a "one-stop hub" for public and private contracting opportunities, announcements, and related resources. Businesses are encouraged to register and sign up for notifications at RampLA.org/s/.

Technical Assistance and Support Programs

To help local businesses compete for upcoming opportunities, a range of technical assistance programs offers procurement education, funding, and advising at no- or low cost.

  • Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and Women's Business Center - Pasadena businesses seeking additional technical assistance may contact the SBDC, hosted by Pasadena City College, which offers no-cost consulting and workshops.   • Business Connect - The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) Business Connect program identifies certified minority-, woman-, LGBTQ+-, person with disabilities-, and veteran-owned businesses capable of providing goods and services for major events. The program offers professional development, mentorship, and growth resources. Business Connect supports procurement related to NBA All-Star 2026, the 2026 U.S. Women's Open, FIFA World Cup 2026, Super Bowl LXI, and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.   • ProcureLA - Operated by the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE), ProcureLA provides free procurement education and connects small businesses with public and private industry stakeholders. The program supports businesses new to contracting as well as those looking to expand opportunities. Businesses may apply by completing the ProcureLA Intake Form.
