City of Columbia Utilities will host an interested parties meeting to gain feedback on an upcoming stormwater project. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 6, from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. along the street near 2505 Glenn Drive.
The City of Columbia has prepared preliminary plans for the construction of stormwater infrastructure along Glenn Drive and Rhonda Lane, with a small amount of work on Andy Drive.
The Glenn Rhonda Stormwater Project will use a combination of inlets, pipes, and swales to alleviate severe flooding of streets and homes along Glenn Drive. Approximately 1,300 feet of stormwater pipe, 15 stormwater structures and approximately 700 feet of storm drainage channel will be installed.
With the project in the early planning stages, Stormwater Utility staff would like to gather feedback from residents along the street regarding flooding observations and discuss possible solutions.
Information and diagrams showing preliminary plans will be available for public review, and City staff will be present to answer questions.
