INDIANAPOLIS - July 23, 2025 - CenterPoint Energy has launched a new mobile app for Indiana customers, reintroducing a dedicated app-based experience for account management and energy usage tools.
This app marks the return of dedicated app-based functionality for Indiana and Ohio customers, following the retirement of the legacy Vectren mobile app in July 2024. Customers who previously used the Vectren app are encouraged to download the new CenterPoint Energy app to access the latest features and tools on their mobile device.
"At CenterPoint, we continue to explore various ways to connect with our customers and provide updated mobile-friendly tools to enhance their user experience. HOUSTON - July 22, 2025 -This year, CenterPoint Energy's Community Safety Grants Program awarded 99 grants totaling nearly $220,000 to communities in Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio and Texas. Grants are awarded to local government agencies located within CenterPoint's service area for community safety equipment and projects.
Since launching the program in 2003, CenterPoint has awarded approximately $3.5 million in grants for more than 1,700 efforts.
"At CenterPoint, safety is our core value, and this drives every effort we undertake as a company for the customers and communities we are privileged to serve," said June Deadrick, CenterPoint's Vice President, Community Relations. "Through our Community Safety Grant Program, we appreciate the opportunity to fund vital safety equipment and projects helping emergency responders and public officials save lives and improve the health and safety of our customers."
Grants have enabled communities to fund various projects, including public AEDs (automated external defibrillators), water rescue materials, personal protective equipment for first responders, traffic control signs, utility locate devices and extraction tools to rescue people after vehicle crashes.
CenterPoint awards program grants up to $2,500 to local government agencies working to fill funding gaps for safety materials and projects.

HOUSTON, July 21, 2025- CenterPoint Energy today announced that Jesus Soto, Jr, a well-respected, energy industry executive with deep Texasroots will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Soto will oversee the company's Electric Operations, Gas Operations, Safety, Supply Chain, and Customer Care functions, across all the states that CenterPoint serves. He will join the company on Aug. 11, 2025, and report to President & CEO Jason Wells.
Soto brings more than 30 years of experience in leading large teams to deliver operational excellence across all facets of the energy industry including electric transmission & distribution, gas transmission & distribution, and generation; executing large scale capital projects on time and on budget; and driving safety performance and culture change.

He has also served in senior leadership roles at other utility and energy companies including PG&E Corporation in Northern Californiaand El Paso Corporation in Houston, Texas.
Soto also serves on the Board of Directors of GTI Energy, an energy technology development and training company, and as Chair of the Industry Pipeline Safety Management Systems Team of the American Petroleum Institute.
He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, a master's degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

HOUSTON, July 16, 2025- CenterPoint Energy's Meteorology, Emergency Planning & Response, and Electric Operations teams continue to remain vigilant and track the low-pressure system designated as Invest 93L as it moves along the coast of the Florida Panhandle.
Current weather models continue to project a low likelihood of the storm developing into a tropical depression or low-end tropical storm. While there is still a possibility of heavy rains and isolated showers, overall impacts to CenterPoint Energy's Greater Houstonservice area are expected to remain minimal. Any weather impacts would likely be rain-related on Friday and Saturday.
Should the disturbance organize, gain strength, or if model forecasts align on a different track, CenterPoint will take further action.
"CenterPoint's meteorology team continues to monitor the system as it moves northward across the Florida Peninsula. Based on the latest data, the threat remains low for the Greater Houstonarea," said Matt Lanza, CenterPoint's Manager of Meteorology. "While we are not expecting major impacts, we will continue to assess the system and coordinate response efforts as necessary."

HOUSTON, July 15, 2025- CenterPoint Energy's Meteorology, Emergency Planning & Response, and Electric Operations teams continue to monitor the low-pressure system offshore of Florida'seast coast, now designated as Invest 93L, as it moves across Floridatoward the Gulf.
According to current weather models, the storm is expected to remain relatively weak but could develop into a tropical depression or a low-end tropical storm before making a projected landfall in Central or Western Louisianaby the end of the week. Rain and localized flash flooding are possible in the Greater Houstonarea on Friday and Saturday.
Should the disturbance continue to organize, gain strength, and if model forecasts align on a different track, CenterPoint will take further action.
