New traffic signal on Custer Rd. at Big Horn Trail

(May 13, 2025) A new traffic signal on Custer Rd. at Big Horn Trail is being activated in flashing mode today. See attached map (PDF). While in flashing mode, traffic on Custer Rd. will not have to stop at the flashing yellow light. Traffic on Big Horn Trail (and the driveway coming out of the Florence/Discovery development in McKinney) will see a flashing red light and will continue to stop at the stop sign.

The stop signs will be removed and the traffic signal will become fully operational on Thursday, May 15.

Drivers are urged to use caution at this intersection as people become accustomed to the new traffic control patterns.
