From June 21-27, the City of Greensboro celebrates Guilford Creek Week, a collaborative effort with local municipalities, businesses, and nonprofits that highlights the importance and benefits of clean, healthy local waters.
To cultivate an appreciation of local waterways, the City's Libraries, Office of Sustainability and Resilience, Parks & Recreation, Solid Waste & Recycling, and Water Resources departments will host a wetland program and cleanup, a recycling center tour, a drain marker event on the Downtown Greenway, a water treatment plant tour, and much more. All programs are free, but registration at greensboro-nc.gov/CreekWeek is required for some.
Visit greensboro-nc.gov/CreekWeek for details of the City's events and guilfordcreekweek.org for a full listing of all local events.
