To mark International Women's Day, EUAM RCA supported the broadcast of a dedicated radio roundtable on Radio Ndeke Luka, contributing to a national conversation on strengthening the protection of women and girls.

Held under the theme:

"Violence: What concrete measures to strengthen the protection of women and girls in the current context?"

The discussion brought together institutional representatives and practitioners to examine practical and operational responses to gender-based violence, including:

  • Reinforcing coordination between security and justice actors

  • Improving reporting, referral and victim support mechanisms

  • Strengthening accountability frameworks

  • Enhancing prevention through community engagement

Through this initiative, EUAM RCA supports nationally led efforts to enhance protection mechanisms and promote gender-responsive security sector reform. The roundtable also provided a public platform to translate policy commitments into tangible action, ensuring that institutional reforms respond to the lived realities of women and girls.

By combining strategic advisory support with operational engagement, EUAM RCA continues to contribute to sustainable institutional strengthening in line with EU values and international standards.
