The SR 7/US 441 Transit Corridor Improvements Project is underway to enhance safety, accessibility, and long-term infrastructure resilience in key areas of the City of Hollywood.
Improvements along SW 45th Street/Orange Drive (from Florida's Turnpike to SR 7/US 441) include:

Upgrading existing drainage structures to improve durability and stormwater management.

Adding a continuous concrete sidewalk along the north side of the roadway to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity.

Upgrading curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to increase visibility and accessibility.
Improvements along Taft Street (from SR 7/US 441 to North 40th Avenue) include:

Milling and resurfacing the existing roadway to enhance long-term performance.

Improving drainage structures to strengthen infrastructure resilience.

Constructing an 8-foot to 11-foot shared-use path on the north side to provide safer access for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Upgrading curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage for improved safety and compliance with ADA standards.
Traffic Impacts

SW 45th Street/Orange Drive: All lanes remain open from Florida's Turnpike to SR 7/US 441.

Taft Street (SR 7/US 441 to North 40th Avenue):

One eastbound or westbound lane may be closed as needed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Tree removal is ongoing in the public right-of-way along the north side of Taft Street in preparation for the new shared-use path.

During removal of larger trees, a single-block detour may be implemented. Property access will be maintained through a flagging operation.
