March Business Spotlight: Celebrating the Legacy of One Stoppe Shoppe

Published on March 02, 2026

The Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is proud to recognize One Stoppe Shoppe as the March 2026 Business Spotlight and Legacy recipient. Established in 1989, this family-owned business has served Downtown Clearwater for more than 35 years, demonstrating long-term commitment to the Downtown CRA district.

Founded by Paris and Linda Morfopoulos, One Stoppe Shoppe was created to meet a need. At the time, downtown Clearwater offered limited retail options, requiring residents and workers to travel elsewhere for everyday essentials. The Morfopoulos family saw an opportunity to provide convenient access within walking distance - and that vision continues today.

What sets One Stoppe Shoppe apart is its customer-driven approach. The store's inventory is shaped by feedback and demand, ensuring shelves are stocked with products customers truly want and need. From office supplies and coffee to vitamins, specialty items, and custom-made secure briefcases, the store has built a loyal local following while attracting orders from customers around the world.

Beyond retail, the business has remained actively involved in the downtown community. Paris Morfopoulos served for 14 years on the City's Downtown Development Board, helping guide revitalization efforts. The store also supports local artists by carrying their products and participates in charitable initiatives, including hurricane relief donation drives and volunteer service with Feeding Tampa Bay.

As downtown evolves, One Stoppe Shoppe remains a steady anchor on Cleveland Street, reflecting resilience and ongoing commitment to the community.
