With the Warriors holding a slender 10-8 lead in the first half, centre Adam Pompey was sent for a shoulder charge on Ray Stone.
Soon after, a minor scuffle ensued after a suspect Isaiya Katoa tackle up-ended Jackson Ford, agitating an already fiery contest.
It led to Warriors star Kurt Capewell charge towards several Dolphins players which in turn caused Dolphins star Selwyn Cobbo run in from the sideline to join the fray.
In what will result in a couple of nervous days for Dolphins fans, Katoa was placed on report for the tackle but escaped a sin bin, however, Capewell and Cobbo did catch the ire of referee Adam Gee.
Kurt Capewell was binned for "instigating" the melee according to referee Adam Gee.Source: FOX SPORTS"You come from the other side of the field to join the melee. Go to the bin," Gee told Cobbo before calling out Capewell and admonishing the back rower for "flying in and instigating the whole melee".
Gee then warned both captains if the game boiled over
"This is turning ugly because you have players coming in. I don't want other players in my face otherwise I'll sit more down," he said.
