Accelerant, a data-driven risk exchange connecting underwriters of specialty insurance risk with capital providers, today announced that AM Best has assigned a Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of "A-"' to Accelerant Insurance UK Limited, its wholly-owned, UK-based insurance subsidiary.

"As we continue to drive growth and improve outcomes across the industry, the rating of Accelerant Insurance UK Limited reflects our continued commitment to the UK market, our consolidated balance sheet strength - viewed by AM Best as very strong - and further validates our vision and the work we do every day," said Jeff Radke, CEO and co-founder of Accelerant.

The rating of Accelerant Insurance UK Limited follows regulatory approval from the Prudential Regulation Authority for the insurer to write a number of additional classes of insurance. Accelerant no longer operates under the Temporary Permissions Regime.
