Today, the University of North Florida celebrated 1,286 students earning their degrees during the Fall 2025 commencement ceremonies at the UNF Arena.
President Moez Limayem, who was confirmed Friday morning as the next president of the University of South Florida, presided over the ceremonies.
Graduates range in age from 19 to 65, they come from 22 countries, 32% are the first generation in their families to attend college, many have 4.0 GPA's and 204 are connected to the military. Degrees were awarded from 106 different combinations of majors in total.

The Senior Service Award is presented by the UNF Alumni Association to one graduating senior each semester for their outstanding service to the University and community through volunteerism. This semester's recipient is Tanasha Jackson.
Jackson, a proud member of the Hicks Honors College, is graduating from UNF's College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Africana studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in digital humanities, maintaining a 3.28 GPA while earning honors such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship, Newman Civic Fellowship and the Excellence in Community Engagement Award.
Jackson bridged academic learning with community impact through internships and community service, including with the Mayor's Youth at Work Partnership, LISC's Ribault River historical documentation project, White Harvest Farms and the UNF Environmental Leadership program. She also founded the First-Generation Ospreys Club in August 2025. while serving in various leadership positions on campus. Inspired by her experiences, Jackson plans to pursue a career in law and education leadership.
The UNF Class of Fall 2025 will join the Osprey alumni nation's current 116,715-member total. As of summer 2025, UNF has issued 101,215 bachelor's degrees, 24,731 master's degrees and 1,734 doctorates since first opening in 1972.
Near the end of the commencement ceremonies, Limayem spoke briefly about his time at UNF.
"I want to say how grateful my family and I are to everyone who welcomed us to this beautiful campus and to Northeast Florida," he said. "I am especially thankful for the incredible faculty and staff who helped UNF reach new heights and break countless records. I am proud to have been part of this Osprey family, and I look forward to cheering on UNF as it continues its remarkable trajectory of success."
