WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed documents and information from Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, prosecutor for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church, regarding her office ignoringthreats to White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and his family.
According to investigators involved in the case, Dehghani-Tafti has been "stymying the investigation" into the threats made against the Miller family. Miller and his young family have faced threats and harassment from left-wing agitators outside their former residence in Arlington. When federal authorities sought to investigate the matter, Deghani-Tafti made an "unusual" move to intercede in the case on behalf of the left-wing agitator.
The Miller family's safety is especially important in light of recent left-wing political violence against prominent Republicans, and the election of an attorney general in Virginia who has fantasized about murdering the children of his political opponents. The Committee is conducting oversight to determine whether changes are necessary to federal law to better protect federal officials from harassment and threats.
