Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia

On November 14, in Tbilisi, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia and head of the Georgia-Armenia Friendship Group George Volski, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze, as well as members of the Friendship Group.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues of the development of bilateral partnership between Armenia and Georgia, also touching upon the existing initiatives between the legislative bodies in this regard. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuously strengthening inter-parliamentary ties for the benefit of friendship between the two peoples and advancing agendas of mutual interest.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Shalva Papuashvili emphasized the significance of the Declaration on establishing the Armenia-Georgia Strategic Partnership, noting its importance both as an expression of the existing cooperation and as a solid basis for achieving further practical results.

Touching upon the outcomes of the trilateral meeting held in Washington, DC, in August 2025, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed confidence that the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, along with the full unblocking of regional transport communications, will contribute to transforming the region into an efficient transit and logistics hub.
