Southfield City Council has recognizes Gun Violence Awareness Weekend the first Friday in June
The Southfield City Council has recognized Gun Violence Awareness Weekend, beginning the first Friday in June, with a proclamation for the last 5 years. Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, who sponsors the resolution, encourages all Southfield residents to stand up in solidarity against gun violence. The City of Southfield supports this important initiative each year by lighting up Southfield City Hall in orange lights to help bring awareness and unity in this vital effort.
