As the year draws to a close, Taikoo Li Sanlitun, a fashion landmark in Beijing, has unveiled a new look.
Numerous global luxury brands, including Dior, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co., have all successively unveiled their standalone stores this month in the mall.
At the Tiffany & Co. store, which just opened, customers can find the brand's iconic, timeless works and watch collections on its first floor. The second floor meanwhile presents a romantic themed art space, showcasing diamond accessories, designer pieces, and high jewelry collections. At the "Audrey Hepburn Sector" on the second floor, the letter handwritten by Audrey Hepburn for the brand is on display.
The soon-to-open Dior Maison Beijing will feature not only a retail space but also China's first Monsieur Dior restaurant, which will be run by a three-star Michelin female chef. Similarly, Louis Vuitton Maison Beijing will also introduce its own café, the brand's third such restaurant in China following those in Chengdu and Shanghai.
More lifestyle brands have also made their debut. In the northern area of Taikoo Li Sanlitun, FENG FULL, Laodingfeng's sub-brand dedicated to fusion cuisine, opened its first restaurant in China; the traditional Cantonese cuisine brand San Qing Tan Restaurant rolled out its upgraded concept restaurant named "Tan Yue" (潭月); Kurasu, a boutique coffee brand from Japan's Kyoto, and Shanghai's popular Thai restaurant OROR by Fine have also joined the lineup. In the southern area, Ader Error, a South Korean fashion brand, and Tamburins, a fragrance and beauty brand, are set to open their first stores in northern China soon.
In the context of Sanlitun's renovation, Jaime Hayon, an internationally renowned artist, has designed and created a series of art installations titled "Travel Angel" for Taikoo Li Sanlitun. They are located in various corners of the open-air streets nearby, inviting trendsetters to explore new experiences here.
