Join us for the Small Business Resource Fair!

If you have a small business - or are thinking about starting one - don't miss the Napa Small Business Resource Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 9-11:30 am at the Performing Arts Center, Napa Valley College (2277 Napa Vallejo Hwy). Come hear inspiring presentations, visit resource tables and meet the folks who can help guide your business journey.

With so many resources available to help business owners, and with so many business owners who don't know they exist, this event aims to demystify support systems and connect entrepreneurs with the right partners. The Economic Development Division is partnering with Napa Valley College, the Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Napa Chamber of Commerce, the Workforce Alliance of the North Bay (WANB) and more community partners to bring you this event.

The event will feature a keynote presentation from Chris Horton, San Francisco District Director of the Small Business Administration. Chris oversees the entire northern California coast, from San Francisco to the Oregon border, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges small businesses face and the resources available to help them succeed. As a Napa resident, he is especially invested in supporting his home community.

Following the keynote, attendees will hear from the Small Business Stories panel, featuring three local entrepreneurs at different stages of their journeys:

Otto Hernandez will share his vision for For The Land, a nonprofit farming cooperative connecting our local community with farm-fresh produce. Otto is just transitioning from the planning phase to launching this ambitious nonprofit.

  • Cinthya Cisneros, who operates the community-favorite restaurant La Cheve, is opening her second business downtown: Con Amor, a tequila bar and eatery on Main Street.
  • Naomi Chamblin has operated Napa Bookmine for over 13 years, successfully weathering the transition from her first storefront on Pearl Street to a custom-built space on Second Street.
  • The panel will be moderated by Jeri Hansen, CEO of the Napa County Chamber of Commerce.

After the presentations, attendees can connect one-on-one with over 16 resource organizations and City departments. Current business owners can find resources for retention, expansion, employment support and financial support, while folks interested in starting a business in Napa can get connected with the services and permits they'll need to successfully launch.
