Citizens Advice Wirral is inviting people from across the borough to consider becoming a trustee and help shape the future of one of Wirral's leading advice charities.
The organisation is looking to recruit new members to its Board of Trustees to provide strategic leadership and governance, ensuring Citizens Advice Wirral continues to deliver high-quality, free and accessible advice to thousands of local people each year.
The charity is particularly keen to hear from people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Previous trustee experience is not essential, and applications are welcomed from people with professional expertise, lived experience or a passion for supporting their local community.
Citizens Advice Wirral is especially encouraging applications from:
• Wirral residents who have used Citizens Advice services.
• People from underrepresented communities.
• Women.
• Young people.
• Members of LGBTQ+ communities.
By broadening the diversity of its Board, the charity aims to ensure it reflects the communities it serves and is well placed to respond to future challenges and opportunities.
Becoming a trustee is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to local people while helping to guide the strategic direction of a respected local charity. Trustees work alongside fellow Board members and the leadership team to oversee the organisation's governance, sustainability and long-term development.
Carol Johnson-Eyre, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Wirral said:
Our trustees play a vital role in helping us support local people and meet the changing needs of our communities. We're looking for people with a range of skills, experiences and perspectives who want to make a positive difference. If you're passionate about Wirral and want to help shape the future of our charity, we'd love to hear from you.
